Mikal Haaheim is a retired counselor and educator. He obtained a B.S. in English from Iowa State University. After attending a year of graduate English at Kansas State University he was drafted. Following the stint in the Army he completed his M.A. in counseling and guidance at the University of North Dakota.
His work experience includes twenty years as a rehabilitation counselor, working with the handicapped, the psychiatrically disabled and individuals with substance abuse issues. Teaching experience included high schools, an asistantship at Kansas State, and Rio Salado Community College.
